At the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC), we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable educational environment for all students. Reasonable accommodations are designed to “level the playing field” by addressing disability-related barriers and providing equal access to academic programs and activities. These accommodations may include measures such as extended exam times, smaller proctored testing environments, or services like notetaking, sign language interpretation, assistive technology, and coordination of accessible housing. Each accommodation plan is uniquely tailored to meet the specific needs of each student, determined through collaboration with ARC staff and guided by documentation and program requirements. This page serves as an evolving resource for faculty, offering comprehensive guidance on supporting students with disabilities. New information, including strategies for working with students with specific disabilities, will be added regularly.
